Support Emergency Investments for all Healthcare Workers in Minnesota
Healthcare workers have been fighting on the COVID-19 front lines, every day for almost two years now, to keep our communities and loved ones safe. But the longer the pandemic goes on, the worse things get for nursing home, hospital, clinic and home care workers all across Minnesota.
Short-staffing, over-use of overtime, and resignations due to burnout have created an unprecedented crisis in our state's overwhelmed healthcare system. The only thing that can end that crisis and ensure quality care for our patients is substantial new investments in compensation for healthcare workers, especially in the form of retention incentives for experienced caregivers.
