You’re invited to influence the 2024 Election!

Union members fight every day so we can live in a place where every family – no matter our job, zip code, wealth, gender or race – can be safe, happy and healthy. But we know who we elect this fall will determine whether we move forward as a state and country, or if we go backwards.

The choice in this election is for those who want to control our lives versus those who want to expand the freedom for our families to have what we need. The election will determine whether we have the freedom to win things like fair wages and protections for workers, affordable healthcare and paid family medical leave for our families, laws that ensure corporations pay their fair share in taxes and more.

To make this brighter future possible, we need SEIU members to talk to our co-workers, neighbors and families about why it’s critical to support SEIU-endorsed candidates up and down the ballot.

  Election Influencer Kick-off Event & Training will be held on Thursday, September 5th from 9am- 4pm. Register here.

• HAVE FUN! At upcoming election events, open to all SEIU members, including:

  • Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party: Watch MN Governor and Democratic VP Nominee Tim Walz debate Republican VP Nominee JD Vance, while encouraging fellow SEIU members to get informed on current issues & vote early! Dinner provided. Tuesday, October 1st 7-10 pm. Register Here.
  • Momos & Promos: Wrap and enjoy Tibetan Momos (dumplings), while learning how to become an election influencer on social media. Friday, October 4th 5-8pm. Register Here.
  • Sign Me Up! Create DIY collage yard signs (supplies provided), while encouraging union members to sign up to vote early by mail- so our candidates can prevail! Saturday, October 5th 10-1pm. Register Here.
  • It’s all Fun & Games! Compete in classic, old school party games with a get-out-the vote twist! Enjoy appetizers & prizes for the winning teams! Sunday, October 13th 4-8pm. Register Here.
